Celtic Woman Concert in Ireland
Below
is a Celtic Woman concert that took place at Slane Castle in Ireland, in the
year 2006. It is definitely my favorite concert performed by Celtic
Woman. I love all of the songs they performed, but if I were to choose a
favorite, I would say "At the Ceili". On reflection, I think I enjoyed their
performance of that song the most. I love how spirited and lively the
fiddler, Máiréad Nesbitt, is. She makes me think of an Irish fairy,
with all her energy. Máiréad Nesbitt is an Irish fiddler who performs celtic and classical music. I really enjoyed watching this concert from
start to finish. I wish I could go to a live performance of Celtic Woman.
Perhaps in the near or distant future, I will get the chance.

I love Celtic Woman so much! I have all their CDs and some of ladies own solo CDs.
ReplyDeleteHands down my favorite clip from any of their PBS specials was when they sang "Amazing Grace" during the 2009 concert they did from Powerscourt Estate for "Songs from the Heart." Oh, those bagpipes and the lighting and the way the song began with the lone bagpiper standing on the roof playing his bagpipe.... double sigh :-)
